Back in November, I shot the wedding of Hannah and Scott at the Grains Bar in Oldham. My relaxed and natural approach to wedding photography suited them perfectly and they loved their wedding pictures.
There was just one thing missing from their day though, the wonderful doggy that is their lovely labrador puppy. As lovely as he is, they didn’t feel that he could behave at their Grains Bar wedding.
Post-wedding Portrait Shoot
They hit on the idea of donning their wedding clobber one more time and booked me for a shoot locally. This time with Benjie in tow.
Hartshead Pike
Hartshead Pike is a feature of Tameside set up on one of the local hills and only about 15 minutes away from Grains Bar in Oldham. Hannah and Scott suggested this as the location for their shoot and so we planned for good weather and boy, did we strike it lucky.
As you can see in the pictures above, Benjie proved that he could have helped hold the dress at the wedding.
With the shots of the Pike in the background done, we then created a few portraits with the views of Manchester and Oldham as the backdrop.
Scott was good enough to help Benjie up the hill 😉

The Proposal
Hannah and Scott told me that the proposal had taken place on the steps of the pike, so we headed over there for a few more shots. I even got my drone out.
The Rainbow
Just after this, the weather started to change, and as we turned around back towards our cars we were fortunate enough to get a rainbow. This was a perfect backdrop for a few more shots.
We then headed back to the car, but on the way, we stopped for one final portrait.
Oh, and the jumping thing they like to do? We of course did that too!
