I am a wedding photographer based in Stalybridge, Manchester. So any weddings around Manchester are always welcome as it means a shorter day for me and a lot less travelling. Read on to hear about a Manchester wedding in Chorlton.

This wedding started at the bride’s parents’ house in Chorlton-cum-Hardy just a few minutes away from where I learned kung fu and kickboxing when I first moved to Manchester.
The house was spacious, with plenty of activity but a definite feeling of calm anticipation. The prep shots were a pleasure to shoot and passed very quickly. It was soon time to head to the church.

St Clement’s Church
St Clement’s is just a brief drive away, so I headed over and found the groom and the vicar. The vicar helped show me around his church, and he was happy for me to do my job however I wanted as long as I didn’t get in his way. I never do.
Damian was relaxed and joking with his best man as the remainder of their guests arrived. The service was lovely, with a few songs and readings. I worked my way around the church, getting the couple the wedding photographs they wanted.

Afterwards, we all headed outside for confetti photographs and then group shots. We got these done quickly and then sent the guests onto the Venue so that we could stay and get some couple portraits done.

The Venue
The wedding ceremony was in Chorlton, so there was only a little way to go. The Venue in Urmston, Manchester, is a good place for a low-key reception. We all got settled in there, and I took lots of candid photos. There was even fun in the bouncy castle.
I was only staying to do wedding photography until the meal so it wasn’t long until I was done for the day.
