It was great to be back for this Spring Wedding at Norton Grange. I was only booked in for a half-day package, but I always enjoy weddings here.
I’m a North West wedding photographer based in Manchester with a relaxed style. Most of my work is documentary with some portraiture thrown in for good measure. I believe strongly that I am there to capture your day as it happens and that I am there to get you great photos you can treasure.

Melissa and Anthony’s Norton Grange Wedding
I had been brought in to cover this wedding on behalf of Paul Walker Photography. When I was starting out, I covered a lot of weddings for him and still do some now and then.
Melissa and Tony were one of these couples, and it was a blast working with them. Read on to learn about their day and see some of their photos.
Norton Grange Wedding Day
I had arranged to cover the wedding prep so I was there in plenty of time. The spring weather was just right to fly my drone, so I got a few aerial shots and even did a bit of video for the videographers.
I then went inside to find the bride.
Wedding Prep
Melissa was in one of the larger ground-floor rooms getting ready with her bridesmaids and flower girls. I got some lovely shots of them all and some detail shots before spending some time with the guys.
The reveal to the bridal party was particularly lovely. I usually try to focus on their reaction to the bride rather than the bride herself for these shots.

Wedding Ceremony at Norton Grange
With everything finished with the ladies, I joined the guys, and then people started heading into the wedding ceremony room.
I shot from the front to get the bridesmaids and bride coming down the aisle and then had the freedom to move around a bit for the rest of their ceremony. It was really touching, with a couple of great readings.
Wedding Reception
After the ceremony, the guests moved into the next room and outside. I let everyone mingle for a bit before organising the group shots.
Couple’s Portraits at Norton Grange
One of the last things I did with the couple was take them for a walk around the grounds for their portraits. I always approach this as a chance for them to enjoy just being with each other while I take photos.
My day with Melissa and Anthony finished when the couple went in for their wedding breakfast. It was a thoroughly enjoyable Spring wedding at Norton Grange hotel.
