This was my first Indian wedding where I was the main shooter, and as such, I wanted to give it my all. Therefore, I offered to cover some of the wedding preparation ceremonies for free so that I could give them more cover and myself more images for my portfolio.
Here is a little more about the ceremony, and then I’ll show you some of my work.

The Mehndi Ceremony
The Mehndi ceremony is a traditional Hindu wedding ritual that takes place the night before the wedding. It is a time for the bride to be adorned with henna, a natural dye that stains the skin a deep red-orange colour. The henna designs are often elaborate and symbolic, and they are believed to bring good luck and fortune to the bride.
The Mehndi ceremony is a fun and festive occasion, and it is a chance for the bride to enjoy the company of her friends and family. The bride is typically seated on a chair or bed, and the henna artist will apply the designs to her hands, feet, and sometimes her arms and legs. The henna will stain the skin for several days, and it is a beautiful reminder of the bride’s special day.
The Mehndi ceremony is an important part of the Hindu wedding tradition, and it is a beautiful way to celebrate the bride’s upcoming marriage. The henna designs are a symbol of good luck and fortune, and they are a reminder of the bride’s special day.
