I’m a wedding photographer based in Manchester, but I cover all of the North West. My style is a mix of candid with some creative portraiture mixed in. Sometimes you do need to get creative, especially with venues like The Village Hotel
The Village Hotel Ashton
Natalie and Steve were married at the Village Hotel in Ashton on the 18th of March. The weather was nice, but the lighting at the hotel was a challenge. I photographed their wedding ceremony, group shots, speeches, and cake cutting.
The Wedding Ceremony
The couple had their ceremony in one of the Village’s large events rooms. Steve and his best man were waiting for Ntalie to arrive, and when she did, there may have been some tears of joy. The ceremony was short and sweet, and it was clear that Natalie and Steve were very much in love.
After the ceremony, we took group shots on the stairs inside the hotel. The location could have been better, but we made it work. We got some great photos of the couple and their wedding party.
Wedding Breakfast at the Village Hotel
After the group shots, we went inside for the speeches and cake-cutting. The speeches were funny and heartwarming, and the cake was delicious. I got some great pictures of the happy couple and their guests enjoying the festivities.
Overall, it was a beautiful wedding, and I was honoured to be a part of it. I hope Natalie and Steve enjoy their photos for many years to come.

- Adjust your settings. You should raise your ISO or use a slower shutter speed to get the correct exposure.

- Don’t be afraid to experiment. Try different settings and see what works best.
