I’m a Manchester wedding photographer and videographer with a relaxed and calm approach to my work. This was my first time being a Novotel Worsley wedding videographer but I’m sure it won’t be my last.
Novotel Manchester West
The Novotel Manchester West is in Worsley, very close to the motorway. It’s an excellent little location for a wedding with plenty of accommodation for your guests, great facilities, a good-sized function room and a pleasant outdoor area.
The outside space is excellent for your wedding photography.
Tracey and Mike
Tracey and Mike were the last couple to book me via Bidvine before I stopped using them. Mike had been looking for someone to supply both photography and videography, and he liked the look of my hybrid package, and they booked me for that.
As an aside, I no longer offer this package as I prefer to focus on just photography or videography and in future, will be bringing in other creatives to work alongside me instead.
We had a few good chats and even met up at the venue to plan and have a look around. The bar at Novotel Worsley is excellent for relaxing and socialising. We got on well and made our plans.
Novotel Worsley Wedding Day
On the day, I started nice and early, getting some establishing shots outside before heading in to start covering the prep.
Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony went well, with plenty of laughter and tears of happiness.

Novotel Worsley Wedding Reception
The reception afterwards was lovely. We headed outside for confetti, canapes, and group shots. Then while we were doing some portraits, the guests had a few drinks and nibbles.
There was a bit more mingling inside before the wedding breakfast.
The Wedding Breakfast at Novotel
The wedding breakfast was delicious (thanks, guys) and all the guests seemed to enjoy it. After the meal were the speeches, these were short and nice, with a few good laughs all around.
I had wanted to do another portrait session after the meal, but unfortunately, there wasn’t time.
Instead, Tracey and Mike wanted to visit Mike’s dad in the hospital nearby. Of course, I offered to come along and get some shots of them all together at the hospital. We weren’t sure if I would be allowed in, but in the end, the staff were amazing and I got some shots before ducking back out to allow them some privacy.
Evening Reception and First Dance
Back at the Novotel hotel, the DJ was set up, and the dancing was starting. Mike and Tracey cut their cake and then took to the floor for their first dance.
I stayed on for a while to get all the footage and photographs I needed, and then my day was at an end. It was a truly lovely wedding day at the Novotel Manchester West.
