Working as a Greenhill Hotel wedding photographer or videographer is an absolute pleasure. I love venues with beautiful outdoor areas, and this is undoubtedly one of those. It is a fantastic venue.
My approach to wedding photography is relaxed and fun, working to get you the best images with the least fuss.
I am a North West wedding photographer and videographer covering the entire North West and up into the Lake District.

The Greenhill Hotel
The newly renovated Greenhill Hotel Wigton is a beautiful Georgian mansion set in nine acres of parkland. It is a stunning venue for a wedding, with its elegant architecture, lush gardens, and stunning views of the surrounding countryside. This makes a perfect backdrop for your photos and videos.
The hotel has a variety of event spaces that can accommodate weddings of all sizes, from intimate ceremonies for just a few guests to large receptions for up to 200 people. The ballroom is the most popular wedding choice, with its high ceilings, chandeliers, and dance floor. The function room is another option; it can be divided into smaller spaces for more intimate gatherings.
The hotel’s chefs can create a custom wedding menu to suit your tastes, and they can also provide catering for your wedding breakfast, rehearsal dinner, and after-party. The hotel’s wedding planner can help you with all the details of planning your big day, from choosing the flowers and decorations to arranging transportation and accommodation for your guests.
Charlotte and Paul
Charlotte and Paul contacted me quite close to their wedding day, but happily, I was available. They wanted me to film their day, from the wedding ceremony up to their first dance. They had a photographer there who was capturing their day from prep to their wedding breakfast.
Charlotte and Paul are a lovely couple, and I still keep in touch with them on Instagram. Charlotte is usually one of the first people to like my posts.

The Wedding Day
The day of their wedding was a beautiful sunny day in Cumbria. No rain and just the right temperature.
I arrived around an hour before their ceremony to capture some b-roll and get their guests arriving. I then set up in the wedding room, ready for their ceremony.
The Ceremony
With all the angles covered, I was ready to roll. As the guests filed in, I set my cameras rolling and went out to film Charlotte’s arrival in the wedding cars before running back in for her entrance.
The service went really well, and they were soon husband and wife. After the ceremony, it was drinks and lots of mingling outside.

Portraits at the Greenhill Hotel
The portrait session is a great time to capture footage of the married couple together, and as long as you communicate well with the photographer, you can both get what you need. I was working with Naomi House, and she was very easy to get on with. I did capture a couple of portraits, too, just for this blog, but I did pass them on to Charlotte and Paul as well.

Wedding Reception
Once we had finished with the portraits and I had all the footage of the couple that I needed, they were free to enjoy their wedding reception. This is great for the videography as I need lots of them interacting with their friends for the video.
The Rest of the Day
Before long, it was the wedding breakfast, and there was the usual mix of speeches from the FoB, Groom and Best Man. After the meal, Naomi finished and headed home, but I stayed longer to capture more of the wedding reception and, later, the first dance.
I also took a few photographs of their dance and passed them on to Naomi so that the couple could have all their images together.

It was a really great day with Charlotte and Paul, and I hope to be a Greenhill Hotel wedding Photographer again soon.

Unrelated to the wedding, I decided to visit the seaside and watch the sunset before heading home:
