Welcome. I am a North West UK wedding photographer based in Greater Manchester, and I cover Cheshire, Lancashire, Yorkshire, The Lakes and North Wales. As you can see from my Mottram Hall wedding photography, I balance natural candids with beautiful, creative portraits.

For this wedding, I was acting as the second shooter for Lee Brown Photography, as well as a bit of video for Mike Langley, so there is a lot more groom prep and few portraits than usual.

Mottram Hall

A Canvas for Your Love Story:

Enjoy the grandeur of an 18th-century country house. At Mottram Hall, nestled amidst the rolling hills of Cheshire, history whispers in the stones, creating a truly unforgettable backdrop for your wedding photography.

Mottram Hall is more than just a venue; it’s a canvas for your creativity to flourish. Whether you envision a grand and elegant ceremony or a whimsical garden celebration, the venue adapts beautifully. Capture the joy of laughter echoing through the halls, the tenderness of a first dance under glittering chandeliers, and the vibrant energy of guests mingling on the manicured lawns.

As a wedding photographer, I adore venues like Mottram Hall. The diverse locations, from the grand interiors to the picturesque gardens, offer endless possibilities for capturing the essence of your couple’s story. Whether it’s capturing the raw emotions of the ceremony, the candid moments of celebration, or the timeless elegance of the setting, Mottram Hall provides a backdrop that elevates every frame.

So, if you’re searching for a wedding venue that transcends the ordinary, a place where history whispers and love takes centre stage, look no further than Mottram Hall. Let me capture the magic of your day, one unforgettable photo at a time.

Morning Prep

The morning started not at Mottram Hall but rather in Manchester. This is where the groom, Lee, was getting ready. He had his groomsmen and sons there for them all to prepare for the wedding day ahead. I was doing a mix of videography and photography, and as usual, I captured the details and all the special interactions.

Once the guys were ready, we all walked to the pub just across the road from the church so that nerves could be calmed and speeches written. Maybe a bit last minute on the latter, but the speech later was worth it.

Christ Church Wedding

The church was just across the road from the pub where the groomsmen were gathered, so when it was time we crossed over so they could greet their guests and get ready for the marriage ceremony.

The Christ Church wedding ceremony was beautiful and afterwards there was lots of celebration and of course, the confetti. The couple had even booked a double decker bus to take all the guests on to Mottram Hall.

After getting shots of the guests on the wedding bus, we headed over to Mottram Hall

Before long, the bride and groom arrived. I had already got into position so I could photograph their wedding car coming up the long drive.

Wedding Breakfast at Mottram Hall

Before long, it was time to go inside for the wedding breakfast. They couple had also arranged singing waiters so between great speeches, and the entertainment, everyone had a great time.

An interlude in the Gardens at Mottram Hall

After the wedding breakfast, there was a lovely interlude outside as the weather was lovely. I spent a lot of time capturing candid photos and chatting with the guests. We were also entertained by a very talented magician.

Cake cutting and First Dance

As the day drew to an end for me, all that remained was the cake cutting and the first dance. The cake was put centrally on the dancefloor for the couple to cut, then once that was done, the bride and groom took to the floor. As so often happens, once they had had enough dancing on their own they invited their guests onto the floor to join them and the party really started.

It was a fun day capturing their Mottram Hall wedding photography and I wish them all the best.
