Pryors Hayes Wedding Photographer
There are many great Cheshire wedding venues, and Pryors Hayes in the North West is one of them. It’s a venue that really suits my wedding photography style with its beautiful outdoor spaces, natural light and airy rooms. My style is relaxed, natural and laid back. So couples that like to celebrate in a venue that isn’t too stuffy and dark are naturally drawn to my approach.

The food there is excellent and the management and staff are on the ball. Read about Haley and Jonathan’s wedding at Pryors Hayes.

Haley and Jonathan
Haley and Jonathan booked me through Paul Walker Photography and originally I only had them down for a half-day. When I arrived, the guys were happily playing poker and having fun in one lodge while the bride and bridal party were getting hair and makeup sorted in another lodge nearby. They all made me very welcome and forced me (honest, I was forced) to have a couple of pastries then said hi to Tiago, their videographer from Caldeira Weddings, then I got straight to work. It’s lovely when the wedding party get ready near each other. It certainly makes my life easier and there is more interaction.

Haley had a few specific requirements for shots in the morning that she wanted, so while doing what I normally do, I made sure to get them as well. She’d also mentioned that no one was to see the dress until she was in it so I had to sneak a few shots of it carefully. I can be a sneaky wedding photographer.
The lodges are great, I really liked them and have considered hiring one for a holiday. They’re also great for the photos.
After everything was ready at the Hollies I rushed over to Pryors Hayes to be ready for Haley’s arrival. The Hollies is not far from their Cheshire wedding venue. The ceremony room was beautifully styled by Flossie’s Weddings and Jonathan was ready to go, he seemed to have a few nerves but he handled them really well. So all done at the Hollies we headed to the wedding venue.

The Ceremony at Pryors Hayes
At Pryors Hayes Golf Club, the civil marriage ceremony went smoothly. Jonathan waited nervously with his best man for Hayley to walk down the aisle. She was worth the wait and looked beautiful in her wedding dress preceded by her bridesmaids. The wedding ceremony was beautiful and there were certainly some tears of joy shed.

The ceremony room at Pryors Hayes is a fantastic space. It is bright and airy with plenty of space for all your guests. There are floor to ceiling windows along one side of the room, and the opposite side is exposed Cheshire brick. There are a few large mirrors at the ceremony end, which boost the light even further and provide a perfect backdrop. The lightness of the room is balanced nicely by the exposed oak beams.
Pryors Hayes Wedding Reception

Then it was time for group shots. We even did a group confetti shot which you can see below. At the moment I think I prefer a group confetti shot over a confetti line. You get everyone in and all the happiness as they wish the couple well. This can be done outside a church or at the wedding venue.

Couple Portraits
To me, an important part of the wedding day is some lovely portraits of the couple. Pryor Hayes is a stunning venue with a beautiful golf course, so there were plenty of places to shoot the couple. We took a couple of golf buggies and headed off.

The venue was kind enough to lend us a couple of golf carts and a member of staff to go out on the course for some photos. I drove us out to the lake so Tiago could film Haley and Jonathan in the other cart and on the way back we swapped – great fun.
Wedding Breakfast at Pryors Hayes

This was also in the Pryors Suite. The elegant interior space had been turned around since the reception. The videographer and I were well taken care of, fed and watered and all that. After a break for food and from wedding photography, it was time to go again when the speeches started.

The Evening
It wasn’t long before the evening guests arrived, and the dance floor was ready. The couple spent their time laughing with their guests, and then it was time for the first dance. This was beautiful, and after their dance, they were joined on the dance floor by their family and friends. It was time for the evening reception to really begin. The end to a special day.

The evening party was really good fun and this sticks in my mind as one of my favourite weddings. Pryors Hayes is a great events venue with an event space that is great for both your wedding and a very special wedding reception.
