I’m a wedding photographer based in Manchester who covers most of the North West, including West Yorkshire. I have a natural style with a calm and relaxed approach which works brilliantly for weddings. I have loads of energy but keep always keep calm when photographing weddings. Read on for my first time as a Wedbarn Wedding Photographer.

Wedbarn Wedding Venue
Wedbarn is a beautiful wedding venue located in the heart of Yorkshire. The venue is a converted barn, which has been tastefully restored to offer a stunning setting for weddings. The barn has a large open space, which can be used for the ceremony, reception, and dancing. Several smaller rooms can be used for informal gatherings or for getting ready on the day.
The grounds of Wedbarn are also stunning, with rolling hills, woodland, and a lake. This makes it the perfect place for outdoor ceremonies and to capture photos.
Wedbarn is a popular venue, so it is important to book early. However, if you are looking for a stunning and unique setting for your big day, then Wedbarn is definitely worth considering.

Wedbarn Wedding Day Prep
On the day, Laura was getting ready at the New Hobbit in their lovely bridal suite. The room was spacious with plenty of light, so the prep shots were a pleasure. I even had the help of 4-year-old Millie and Rainbow Dash when taking some of the pictures. She picked up focusing and composition faster than some adults I know…

After Laura was ready, it was time for her to do the reveal with her dad.

The Ceremony
With everyone ready, it was on to the ceremony at St Mary’s. I met with Jeanette, the vicar, when I got there, and she was very calm and pleasant, with a love of Lego. She was great to work with; I absolutely love it when they are so helpful and welcoming. The ceremony went well, and then there was a classic bus to take everyone over to Wedbarn. I think it struggled with some of the hills, but we all got there in the end.

Wedding Reception at Wedbarn
It would take three trips to get everyone to the barn, with the bride and groom taking the last one. So, after dropping my car off, I jumped on the bus to ride with the couple and their family on the final journey and get some more shots for them.

Confetti Shots at Wedbarn
Laura and Matt arrival last gave us an excellent opportunity to arrange the confetti shot. When we arrived at Wedbarn, everyone was ready in the car park and just beyond, there were welcome drinks.

Wedding Breakfast at Wedbarn
The meal was a very relaxed affair with the choice of pizza by Fired Up, burritos, or Indian street food by Pavs Dhaba, which I had. It was so good, and I hope I see them at more weddings. The food was excellent and gave the guests a chance to relax and chat outside on such a glorious day.

Couple Portraits at Wedbarn
The fields around Wedbarn are beautiful, so I took the couple for a walk, and we got some great portraits of them together.

When the bride and groom got back, they were spotted by this little cutie as they headed back in.
Speeches at Wedbarn
With us back at Wedbarn, it was time for the speeches. The guests and couple were brought into the lovely converted barn and seated, and the speeches began. They all absolutely nailed them, as you can see by all the smiles and laughter, which is the sign of a great speech. Taking photos of people having so much fun is an absolute pleasure!

The only tears were tears of joy.
Wedbarn Cake Cutting and First Dance
Not long after the speeches, it was time for the cake-cutting and the first dance.

I really enjoyed my time as a Wedbarn Wedding Photographer, and the couple loved their photos. I gave them a few sneak-peak shots on the day (I love my A7IV’s for this). The whole day was an absolute pleasure!
